Why I love Lolita Fashion (A Male Perspective)

     My first introduction to Lolita Fashion was from a Russian Model in Germany she wore what we would call a pirate Lolita influence so I was not that impressed with the outfit. When I started working with the more Japanese influenced artist I noticed the young ladies were wearing the Japanese influenced Lolita fashion. How much difference is the Asian Lolita from the European Lolita well I believe there is more colors and lot more accessorizing involved. I was very involved with Gothic music in its popularity so I recognize the gothic Lolita think of Wynona Ryder from BeetleJuice look.

  When I worked on my heavily Gothic themed album. I wanted a more a castlevania look. I think of a more Ann Rice look from The Diary series.

 I am not much concerned with what the females wore because I do not put female characters in my operas.

  The interest sparked me more and more as the controversy started. I could not figure out why would anyone would get upset over a girl wearing a fluffy dress? I am for anything that gets a girl in a fluffy dress.

If you ever dated out there you would know what I am talking about. Dressing up for a girl is not easy it involves pulling,playing,coloring,clipping,matching,and tightening. Why would a young lady go through the ordeal well I guess it can be a challenge like a game for a man?

 I think being rebellious has a lot to do it. Imagine a generation of young ladies who never have dressed up and I think we have had a generation like that. This generation wants a challenge because we have a generation who is not challenged anymore. A few Lolitas fashion Enthusiasts have been divided from certain groups at Anime Conventions rightly so just because they dress that way do not make them Anime fans. I cannot say I am a big anime fan but I do not attend Cons because I love My little pony. I go there because I find the J-pop and K-pop fans there and like Lolitas we will have more meets dedicated just for us as well.

 Why do I like the fashion? It is beautiful and there are male Fashions to go with it.

Some have added some of the Steampunk fashion and combined with the Lolita look. I was a fan of the original Wild West West Show not the Will Smith Crap that had nothing to do with the the TV show.

      I think you can add some of the victorian age models as a lot of influence in the Modern Lolita Fashion especially the Umbrella and lace that has a victorian feel to it. As son of a Victorian age collector I know the Victorian style very well. There are so many styles and groups, like Victorian,gothic,punk and many Asian styles that are just too hard to pronounce.
 Since David Bowie and even Elvis Presley fashion and pop music go hand to hand. You look at so many pop stars there is so much influence there. So I do not see the big deal. I would love any Girlfriend in the fashion and I would dress up to match. I say if you do not like it shut up and suck on a lolipop.

It is late at night when a member of a Cosplay/Dance group is insulted and name is virtually dragged in the internet mire of  4chan and tumbler. You feel helpless and wish you could take the next plane to Scotland to comfort her but you can't. 
Welcome to the world of the net the virtual hugs that could be virtual stabs in the back. The lies that  are weaved by jealous girls who never apologize. The bully's that wear bows the stupid girls who says there is a difference between an Otaku and Weaboo. Look at The English dictionary there is no such word as weaboo. No! A real dictionary not the Urban Dictionary for Internet dummies who spout such nonsense as Swag or different made up words trying to destroy the intelligence of our youth if I typed that word wrong who cares I would not use it in a day to day conservation with a human being.

 I have watched Internet dance groups die left and right and found out the problem is they are to spread out. You cannot meet with your friend in Birmingham and Paris and say lets do a collaboration together. I watched Maid group members join internet groups and think why could you not do something with the Maid group? You think that girl that is 5,000 miles away is going to be different.
 Why not double the focus on the maid group? Who you can touch and feel instead of a person who has bullied people into a group because if you do not she will destroy you with lies on the net. Which is what is happening. Most of these girls on the net present a fake persona and in real life they are hideous monsters on the inside. When the Dancers doubled on the net I took advantage by going after the dancers that were close to me that way I could find out if they have what it takes to go on.
One great Advantage of being right there close to them even though everyone and his brother has a studio in their home I can get to them the equipment they need.
  
 What I do I think of the OTaku Owls? I think it is a wonderful thing. It is the warmth that is needed and human contact is wanted . Girls are wanting to follow just to see young ladies perform together instead of writing on a self destructive Tumbler blog for jealous girls who will never meet. 


 The days of just dancing in the bedroom and being famous is over. It is just an addition to marketing your product. That Product is music or sneakers or a soda pop or whatever. Now we have to resort to the old days of Marketing like Press releases and concerts. What are Concerts? They are just ways to sell a Music Album. This is why we have come into the scene. The days when I wanted to play music we took whatever job we could. We did not have forums for rock musicians we took whatever we could to play. The point is we were doing what we love doing.A dancer or performer might have to do the same thing. You have to love what you are doing and sometimes being able to perform things you do not want to but the point is you are performing. Some of you though need Motivation you need that push to get there and some of you are willing to admit it. I have to poke you not on Facebook but an actual human poke to get you up and dance. If I have to push you a little harder because of your potential and I see something you do not see. You need that Motivation not a cynical girl who thinks she can bully us around guess what we are Americans and we do not take kindly to female drama queens who do not dance and think they can tell other people how to dance. Most of you will thank me when the video is on youtube. When Thomas Edison made the Film Camera he knew that someone had to be the Cameraman and someone had to be the performer your that performer your that glue that holds this together and if I get 4 or 5 dancers to dance. Oh Happy Day! If you're a Lone Kitty be a Lone Kitty do not let people get you do something different. If you have a southern accent and speak Japanese that is who you are and believe me that is cute. I bring my own style to the table and you bring yours and guess what it may be the most entertaining thing ever. There is no law in Heaven and Earth that you have to perform a certain way. 
 
 To my lovely dancers who I hope to see real soon Thank you so much and if your busy defending your talent guess what your not busy dancing and singing and getting better.

When is it Time to Take a Vacation

We are seeing a lot of dancers take a break and we are seeing some make a return. One thing with youtube your video stays up and it can actually work for you. Even if you are not filming there are comments being made people writing about you on tumbler and sometimes you feel you need to take a break from all this. It is a great idea if you can try to take as many as possible. Remember the more you take the less chance you can build your youtube faithful. At first yes we did this for fun but as conventions and youtube people start asking for more. This almost does not become just a hobby but a job and once you receive that first payment through sponsorship or just being hired as an act. It is a job. The question is now is how do you keep from being burned out? How do you keep that youtube faithful even more faithful? You do not need to be in a bad mood to post or dance you need to be rested.

One rule of thumb I use to tell when I need to take a short break is if any post makes me have any emotional response it is a good sign to turn the phone or computer off and take a walk. Remember there is good reasons to fight back but if there is no harm being done there is no reason to fight back. If someone post their political beliefs that you disagree with there is no reason to get upset if you feel like your hands shaking take a walk then and there. If you are an entertainer entertain do not get your political beliefs mixed up with your entertainment message we are promoting entertainment not our political ideals unless we are a political blogger. I have been at fault just like everyone else and forgetting this but we are not perfect.

There is nothing wrong with reinventing yourself just do not do it when you are on the rise as a celebrity. People do not like change, now if you have a change of heart about where your going then all means change just give your fans a good reason why.

I think one reason we change is we get older and our taste changes but do not criticize people because they still like the things you used to as well.

 A lot of people try to fill the void that they need to fill with love with trying to get attention on the net. If you find love by all means get it. It does not mean you should stop doing what you love doing. I have been in and out relationships or dated but I still love doing this I love chatting with dancers and editing videos and having  a good time. I like the challenge of trying to make a better video. 

The truth is not everyone likes you. I know that is tough to understand but that is the truth. If you get that first hate comment go and post another video do not make a response until necessary let your video be the response it says I am here and your hate comment means nothing. 

I am saddened by the fact that Kozue is graduating from Danceroid but I feel this is when it is a good time for her to leave. She has her reasons and she has given them out and she has said she will post solo and good for her. We see Johanna has returned and that is good and she needed some time away. We see some dancers will never come back because they have become interested in other things well good for them as well. 

So when is it time to quit? When you say it is time. I remember a guy used to tell me he would quit everyday and what he meant is he never took his job home with him. He walked out the door and quit and came home and was done with work. The next morning he re-hired himself and started back to work and a lot of us need to to do the same. Film, post, connect, and quit when we are done. Do not give the stress to other people. When you see the thread of Hate coming in at a fast rate. Immediately turn that computer off and phone and take a deep breathe and take a quick walk, hug your best pet and calm down then turn it back on and only respond when it is necessary. Do not depend on others to help on the net.  Most of the time you will go into the fight alone because you do not know who to trust in the world wide web they all could be out to destroy you that is a little harsh but it's the the truth. If you feel the need, talk to only close friends. If you have problems controlling your emotions maybe you need to seek some wise counsel. The bottom line is do not be afraid to take breaks set aside maybe a day for responding to comments. The other days you need to be practicing and filming and posting and getting your name out there. You guys know the right thing to do so do it and if all else fails Pray and Pray Hard!

When I first learned about bots on YouTube I was not surprised about that people would actually pay for youtube subscribers. I mean I can find people who have quit their day jobs and have become full time You Tube partners. I cannot name anyone who has become rich from just using Twitter. You will not find a book on How I became rich by just using Twitter. Twitter does not allow the ability to do things you can do with Facebook. You might say I want to have the attention but not the stalkers. Then create a Facebook fan page at least you can type a paragraph on your Facebook fan Page. You try to make an eligible paragraph on Twitter you cannot that is the reason why you see pop stars and Rap stars use twitter because they cannot make a complete thought. You Ask, Toru why do you have a Twitter? I have a Twitter because I know if I did not Someone would probably make a fake account and ruin my good name. I cannot remember the amount of Sachie Cruel and Venus Angelic accounts that I have had to erase in my life as an editor for J-pop dancers. Rumors have spread of people posing on Blogtv using my name. If you see someone on Blogtv with my name let me know you will find me on Blogtv with talents such as AnimeVoiceKiddo or Beckii Cruel maybe Kimonotime, Zoompha (Emily), Hannii Joy and Rebekah Cruel or the artist formally known as Rebekah Cruel and that is about it.

There is a reason why I have distant myself from certain people is because of their stupid post on their social accounts. Certain people are poison. The answer is that twitter must die it was a dumb idea. I have enough problems keeping up with all the Internet social networks as it is. We do not need another now that we have Tumbler or Facebook. I think twitter is a passing fad like My Space and eventually will go away. I think however we may see a rise of My space due to the cosplay accounts that have been deleted on Facebook You can find out who has Fake accounts by using this tool Status People. Why do we do what we do?

 1. Why video?
   We grew up in the music video age and we think that a video needs to keep moving and every action that is used from a convention is like a choreographed dance to music. Some action shots we like are cos-players hugging, Swords slashing, zombie shooting and karate kicking.
 We are not Photographers and never claimed to be. You want to shoot a skit or a dance video we are the men you call and most of time we keep sound equipment just in case we need it. We will work with other photographers and many cases you will see one we dragged along with us.
2. Why No names?
 We respect the anonymity of every dancer and cos-player.  We figure there are over hundreds of conventions a year. There is a good chance we will see you again. So giving us your real name is not necessary and we are  not going to give it out. If you are dressed as England We will call you England. I have said this before if were going to work together again it will happen. If we don't. We don't. There is no need to worry about it.
3 . Why is every one to us is important?
You are an artist and a very important person to the art process so if I do not thank you afterwards I am thanking you now.
 I do not care about your status on youtube or how many likes you have on face book, if you made a schedule with us we are going to try our best to keep that schedule regardless if the greatest dancer and Cos-player comes along. The greatest artist is the one I am working with right now. We try to be men of our word.
4. Why Youtube?
 I love youtube and there is one other website at the moment that can compete with youtube but we can only release one video a week in HD. We are releasing at least three a week. I love youtube, to me it is not just a social network it is a place for someone to be noticed. Toru Takanuru is a video editor and he wants to be noticed  and you the cos-player or Dancer this is the place to get recognized. We try to tell everyone that they will be on youtube and we try to make sure we have permission from them before releasing footage.
5. Why High fives?
 This is something new. This is the appreciation ceremony afterwards. When we first started everyone would end the video with hugs . I like the High five better. It gives everyone a feeling like they are part of the team and you are. I will Hug someone I know.
6. Why we like loud People ?
 During filming this is not the time to keep quiet. If you have a better place to film let us know. You have an Idea that would attract more views let us know. Do not be quiet this is a team effort. If you want attention you are going to probably to get it from us.
7. How should you act?
 You should act like your having the best time of your life. We want you have fun and stay comfortable. If you feel sick let us know. We can take a break. Please drink plenty of water and stretch properly we do not want any injuries. I am going to try to capture that great smile. If security wants us to move we will move but we can go outside or some where else. Every town has a Wal-Mart.
8. Why we do not know every Anime?
 When I was a kid Anime was Sailor Moon or the Transformers and GI Joe. So please do not get mad if I do not know every Character from some girly Romance Anime . I do not play Video Games either so I doubt I will recognize some Obscure online Game Character.I am a Science Fiction Fan and I love Horror Movies so I easily recognize a Star Wars,Star Trek or scary Movie Cos-play. I am sure your Costume is great and if you made it yourself  let us know. We are more likely to spend time with you because we appreciate any artist who works hard.

2 years and what I have learned

1.  Anything That is positive will probably get criticized on the net.
  If you are expected to get praised for being a positive person you're going to get a big surprise because the ban of  the trolls and Internet haters will get together to try to bring you down because they are jealous that they did not have the idea first.
Goal setting is something I have practiced all my life. Some see it as part of steps of positive motivation. If you do not write your goals down you will not have any Idea of where you are going. Goal setting is like writing a list down before you go the the grocery store. Keep your mind filled with positive thoughts do help regardless of what you might think. Garbage in is Garbage out you fill your mind full of worry and doubt and you come out as someone who is full of worry and doubt.
2. Do not get involved.
 I think in most men there is a gentleman inside waiting to get out and express his chivalry and it's not different in the community. My advice would be to stay out of it especially if you do not know the person. I have find that some young ladies like attention and will have a bit of fun with you and will use it against you regardless of how nice of a deed you think you were doing.

3.You cannot Believe everything on the net
  If you get news of someone on the net go to them send them an email, found out for yourself do not take one side of the argument and especially if you do not know the person and they are just acquaintances on the net. There are just too many horrible rumors out there and I go to the person and I actually find out the truth..

4. Do not push Relationships just let things come natural
 I knew when I reached my first anniversary I wanted to go beyond just tribute videos. It took a year
   but I gained enough trust to proceed with collaborations but it was enough to get the go ahead for my collaborations. I think If I acted so anxious I think it would scare anyone. The same goes to Subs let them come naturally as well you will find a better audience and it will give a closer relationship to your subscribers.
 I think a young New dancer will have a hard time to adjust to any change especially when they have a swarm of new subscribers and then they will have a hard time emotionally dealing with the changes. Especially when the Subscribers start cancelling then there is the creep factor. The Creep Factor is where some guys mistake your video for some "booty shaking" site just to think that your some attention whore.When they find out that your not some easy "tart" they will drop there subs as well. Beware of any fast gaining subscriptions, try to keep things as natural as possible.

5. Video Editors are not creepy they just edit film footage.
 That's right when I get Film footage and it is just my job to edit the footage. Apparently some jealous girls find that hot guys like me editing footage is creepy. Editing footage is fun and that is why I do it. Some people like to dance, I like to edit and some girls like to gossip then try to pose as dancers guess what they are gossipers not dancers. I would not get any advice from someone who gossips and does not post their dances online.
 I would get my advice from someone who face the lions den every day.

6. Take care of the Real People in your life not the Internet people.
  I have no desire to know about people I will never meet but I have interest in those people that I will meet. You know those people who I plan to collaborate with. I have a full itinerary of several people and I still am excited. If you think the dancers I have Collaborated with were cute well they are just about to get cuter.
 I will end on a Happy note. The first Thing I will do when I reach my second Anniversary is to take a week off and maybe go enjoy nature a bit.

Venus And the controversy continues!

 I think I first liked Venus Angelic's Videos when she did different things that a lot of dancers did not do. I am always attracted to dancers' videos where they do new stuff something that catches the eye. It has become tougher and tougher to do new stuff  because there are so many dancers doing different things to catch the eye. It is a task to do new stuff. If you do new stuff you still have to wait for things to settle after the zombie masses who want the same thing to fade out with their opinion to wait for it to impact. I feel everything that Venus is doing right now is a careful marketing ploy thought by a crafty yet and intelligent mother/promoter.

 I have no problems with Venus Angelic it is something I wished I had thought of. Unlike most of us on you tube Venus and her mother are you tube partners they receive a check from google as their videos get more views this why as of lately you will see more of Venus doing things that are not copyrighted, for instance her popular Make up tutorials which of lately has made me lose interest. It's not that her Make up tutorials are bad its just I am beautiful enough.                                                                                                                                 

   Now on to things that I see. Venus is Obviously a beautiful young lady and definitely has a chance to be a model in her future. There was a time when I felt she had become a bit of a lone wolf or kitty whatever floats your boat. A lot of people think Venus is mean because of her Eastern European up bringing I admit the westerners have a bit of tolerance level but deep inside we wish we were less patient with people. The thing that is hard on our community is that we have to depend on a lot on the net to communicate we sometimes swap phone numbers but that is such a rarity and it is not a bad idea to keep your number private. I do not give mine out besides when I am working I technically cannot answer my phone. I must give my client complete and full attention I mean they are paying my salary so I am careful with who I give my number out. The reason I dropped several of accounts of Venus on the net is because I did not know which were fake and which were real. The only real account that I knew about was formspring but she decided to drop that. Anybody who knows me know I love formspring and when she dropped that I could feel this separation between other dancers was happening.  I understand getting away from a lot of the net for protection is a good Idea unfortunately Venus' popularity thrives on the net. She is part of a an influence on the net but she has followed many of the success of other net sensations. I think she sees other young ladies as more of competition. You have to think if your talking to Venus you are talking to Venus Angelic Inc or her Mother/Promoter not just her.
 Only one  Western girl has truly mastered the art of Nico Nico Douga and as many who want to be successful have followed the Young girls success. Venus has followed as well. Unless you have the Patent on what or how to get views there is no way you can stop that. I have seen some influences of mine on other videos but you cannot complain you have to think of Plagiarizing as a form of a compliment.

Ugh do I really want to post this.

 One of the most depressing things to watch is someone's Vlog on how much they are hated or how much problems they are having. Vlogs are great when the problems make the Vlogger interesting and then the problems are gone, the Vlogger does not become interesting.  This is one of those times I really do not want to post I feel I think I do need to post an update to my subscribers. I think I do owe them that much to explain about recent events. It has been a while since I have posted here. It happened in December if I wanted to be more dramatic I would add a cold December day but this has been one of the mildest winters I have experienced.
 The short story of this blog is almost 80 videos that I previously uploaded on youtube had been deleted. All those  links that were leading to the videos were meaningless as well every tumbler site or anime site links was not going to get me views on those videos.
 I did not think twice about it I started the labor to get those videos up and viewable as soon as possible. That was not all, my hard drive on the computer died it needed replacing this kept me from editing for about three weeks. I am glad all these things are behind me and no the world did not come to an end and the one person who reads this will be glad I posted. I have to remember that all the videos I have made are in the past and there are more videos on their way more Yuka-pon and More Holly and more Elena and much more so stay tune.
