Your Favorite Japanese Pop Videos of 2015
10. Durian Shounen – NMB48
At number ten we have Durian Shounen by NMB48. This looks like earlier AKb48 this is pretty much a video featuring girls in Bikinis and squeezing bikini tops to try to show cleavage yes I was looking forgive me please. This is not one of my favorite style of music for Japan oh well there is a lot of cuteness here and I am wondering where we are at in this video? The video was filmed in Taiwan and that is why we get the whole Chinese vibe going on here. I like the roller coaster shots and what looks like some sort of celebration going on, yes like older Akb48 videos this is just a bunch of girls having fun singing into dead lizards on a stick and doing cute stuff like that. Hey Otakus pick your favorite you know you have one. This music reminds me of so many Akb48 songs like give me five and girls sing lyrics that sometimes does not match the song itself. I think maybe this group of course the sister group of AKb48 did this song and video so that AKB48 could mature, we will see later.9.Choice&Chance – Juice=Juice
I absolutely love this song and video. I totally get it.It is a good vibe. It is a good pick me up. I would love to wake up to this song every morning. It is a great song to get your Cardio going in the morning. The video is good as well. I love the quick cuts as well. The part where the girl just pushes the Pieces on the game board is my favorite part and it sticks in your head as a great visual. This was really good they have a promising future as a Hello Project. I feel the intensity of the song. Of course they will have to compete with Morning Musume and Ciao Bell Cinquetti as well though. Keep at it girls. If you crank out tunes like this I will listen!!
8.Nogizaka46 - Inochi wa Utsukushii
The rivals of AKb48 became your favorite in 2015. The music is very similar to their counterparts' but it is the stunning dark and romantic and gloomy sometimes visuals from their video Inochi wa Utsukushii. I love the Gothic Lolita Fashion here. I could definitely throw them torn stuffed bunnies, they are so dark and cute. The Bleeding eyes in this video of certain members is what you want from your Idol group, the lyrics are clear but you have a deep dark sensitive subject here. The name of the song is Life is Beautiful which is telling people to keep going on no matter how dark things get in your life. You can Look at these lyrics if you do not believe me and remember the Night will end.With the moon drops at its back

Watch Video!7. Itooshikutte Gomenne – Country Girls
Okay for all the time I have been watching Japanese Idol groups this video by the Country Girls is totally embracing the good parts of what I liked about Idol groups of the past. Schoolgirls Jumping around being cute but this video cracks me up but I will always love when Japanese Idols tribute old rock Roll and Roll idol songs of the past and this what I like about this. Hey pop is suppose to be fun and this is fun. I am sorry for being adorable the whole statement cracks me up I will be saying this all year now but what the heck. Okay what the video does is that it makes me laugh. Especially when the girls start writing on the screen and the white schoolgirl outfits. It is fun and I do not feel like a dirty old man watching it!
6. Parallel World – Ayami Muto
I can not say too many good things about this song and the wonderful filming of this video, it looks like it is done in one take, if it is awesome! I love this song too it is very catchy and I could dance to it what about you? The Lyrics tell us a Story and the title fits the lyrics for change yes I can see many other Japanese Idol influences here but Hey Ayami Muto for now!!
5. Taiki Bansei – ANGERME
I love the energy these girl put in this song. It does have a disco feel so you can dance to it but I love the different collage of outfits instead of the same "everyone must wear the same thing to be an Idol group" they seem to give me that they can Identify with the regular girl but these girls make me feel like they can dance. Angerme is another Hello Project thing that is catchy and upbeat and they can really get your attention short and simple like the haircut in this video I am just saying! Maybe you liked them better as S/mileage
4. Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai – AKB48
You can't have a list without Akb48, all I can say is wow both them and Morning Musume put in some great efforts as far as videos with special effects but are the tunes that good? The tune here is softer to show off the singing talents I will give them that but we have a great video that surpasses the tune which is why they are ranked fourth this year as one of your favorites. There is not much cuteness here folks a lot of Akb48 members getting their little butts kicked then coming back to kick major butt. Did the action take away from a musical group? You bet your plushies it did. The video is good. I would not play this song over and over again though.

That's right Ciao Bella Cinquetti from Hello Project, just change your name please, the song Live Everyday as though it will be the last is great and simplistic.
I will say this yes you need to get my attention when you are not dancing and Ciao Bella Cinquetti does that. I want to talk about the fashion here I like it and I love the short haired girl in this video. I love the Silver and Black they have a sort of Secretaries in space look if there is such a thing just totally great selection in picking the outfits. I really do not see any major symbolism in this video that you need to focus on. I do see when we have breaks we have visuals of slow motion petals falling Japanese's parasols and things like that to remind you this is a Japanese group. In fact the tree in the background is also Japanese symbolic. I know its that Japanese manger ownership feeling maybe a message to others. These young ladies are very experience and you can see that so I am wondering why they did not try some more complicated dance steps just saying but hey the music makes up for the lack of dancing!
Music
I love the music in this song. I am a metal guy and this comes very close to Heavy Metal and they sing good and there face and forms match the singing .I do not feel like I am hammered with false pretense of just lip syncing girls dancing to music. They have several slow down parts to sing and they nail it I feel the seriousness of their voices so I really dig this song. They have a nice bridge or Guitar Lick part as well. You can definitely Give me more of this style of music, I just Love it!! I do not feel like the drums or the music was fake and put together from a computer like an Akb48 song. If the girls played their own Instruments that would be even more awesome but I can live with this.

I get a little confused with over descriptions in these lyrics they did not have to put so much emphasis on what the surroundings of the Journey entails in my opinion they could of put more emphasis on the struggle of the journey, I see that they are just like everyone else they understand that their future is un clear.

I will be honest I am so used to Hello Project groups just dancing in videos such as Morning Munsume, I have been fine with it there is really nothing that spectacular about this video. I would say however tinting of the video or light balance is good very dark and romantic in visual. There are some great Japanese type recognition in the video when the group is not dancing.
