Five Things I would Find On The Ground as a Kid

Okay in my latter years of my life I still Love walking . I gained a love to walk since my days of a teenager. I like to walk and yesterday I found some sunglasses yesterday that is right not just any sunglasses some freaking nice sunglasses. I remember walking when I was a kid and if I found anything on the ground it was like hitting pay dirt. Here are five things that made any kids day in the nineties that one could find on the ground.

Mix Tapes

Okay so you millennials who do not know well people recorded stuff on tapes these things could be found on the road everywhere because people threw them out because the stereo broke or because people wanted to distance themselves from a relationship because a song was on the cassette that reminded them of someone they dated. Anyways you never knew what was on the tape because people would put together a tape that could have anything on it making a mixtape was a big part of my life and sometimes was a sign of affection. Now a days what do you do put together a playlist on spotify or youtube that is not love Love is thumbing through your hard earned money bought CD collection and finding that song that reminds you of that person.

Needles and Condoms

Okay ew there were good things and Bad things you will find but the worst were needles and condoms . When I was younger you could actually get empty syringes from neighborhood nurses but laws forced this out of existence but when you found a used condom or used needle I assume because you never knew about the horror story of the night before but as a kid we used are imaginations because we were not texting 24 hours a day. We could develop stories around these finds or most of all to scare off the Neighborhood girls.

Liquor Bottles and wheel covers

Okay finding liquor bottles may not sound cool to you but liquor can come in some awesome and strange containers and someone like me who was in charge of decorating his room, liquor bottles were neat and made nice vases or even pen or pencil holders. You know pens and pencils because we did not have laptops in our rooms when I had a song Idea I literally had to pull a notebook out and write. Another room decor was wheel covers I found unique wheel covers all the time unfortunately my brother was my roommate so many of my wheel covers were decorated with Baseball team stickers because my brother collected Baseball cards and many gum baseball cards came with stickers and some even glowed in the dark. Eventually I had to walk away from wheel covers because I had so many. I believe my dad has a few wheel covers that I found in the past.

Money

Okay this would make anyone’s day, money outside of a wallet was a good find for any kid. Money could become a drink or ice cream sammage when you traded at the local store. My Last find Monetary wise was a debit card not as good as cash money trust me.

5.Porno Mags and Adult Novelties

In my day Porn was hard to find for a child. Adult Magazines in stores were covered by black slates and some were sold under the counter out of the the sight of any kids. Now a days we debate rather or not Porn Addiction is a real addiction or not but in my days you as a kid could not get hold of a porno mag. Boys had to Imagine what was below the shoulders of woman who wore a body shaper in a JC penney Catalog. The biggest find I ever found was a box which contained one blow up doll and three adult porn video movies. I know this was a probably a prank gift for a Bachelor or Bachelorette Party but for a kid Wow this was like finding The Lost Ark of the Covenant of Porn.
